Called to order at 7 am. Present: Jim Joseph, George Pech, Ali Baksh, John Bryce, Steve Brown, Jim Kitchen, Bill Crawford, Russ Sugimura, Michael Nadler, Dale Scheerer, Robin Gofton (Region of Peel).
Jim Kitchen updated club on discussions with Peel Victims Services. They are excited about working with us on Surf & Turf Fest. Peel Police will discuss with all divisions with the goal being to promote our event / sell tickets. Jim suggested club would take 15% of revenue to cover overhead, balance of revenue to be split between benefactors. Victim Services can issue tax receipts. George will forward brochures to Fred Chorley to aid with marketing.
Club feels maximum capacity for Surf / Turf is about 225 patrons. Club gave ok to Steve to proceed with making arrangements with Black Tie Entertainment (DJ). George reminded everybody that we only have 5 more weeks to sell tickets.
Bill introduced Robin Gofton of Region of Peel, Public Health. Robin discussed bullying in schools.
John's number called for 50 / 50. Drew a white ball.
