John updated database. Will make 100 calls to promote Surf & Turf event by next Thursday. John noted Surf & Turf PDF available @ website to distribute. George has made calls. One person called suggested event should close later.
Club discussed merits of supporting WWF climb at CN Tower. John moved that we donate $250. Seconded by Steve Brown. Motion carries.
George distributed emailable flyer re Surf & Turf. Encouraged Rotarians to "make the calls".
Bill introduced Wendie Gibbons, a drama teacher @ Meadowvale Secondary School. Discussed breakfast program. Held twice weekly (Tuesday / Thursday) at Meadowvale SS. About 100 students participate. Program funded through grants / fundraising. About 50 staff volunteering. Food costs $40 -$70 weekly. Help needed with clean up. Volunteers welcome. Bill will coordinate.
Wendie referred to Maureen Darling, business teacher as contact for Camp Enterprise.
Justin reminded members to show him police checks.
George's number called for 50 / 50. White ball drawn.
