Meeting Highlights - July 26, 2007

Meeting called to order at 7am.

Present: M. Nadler, J. Diggle, G. Pech, R. Sugimura, J. Bryce, W. Stanley, S. Brown, B. Crawford, J. Joseph

Guest: Don Joseph

Absent: D. Scheerer, A. Baksh, J. Kitchen

J. Bryce advised that he is in discussions with District Membership Chair regarding membership initiatives. Exploring semi-pemanent sign to promote the club meetings. Will highlight Rotarian ideas for membership growth next week.

S. Brown will work on scheduling classification talks through the Summer. Will email members. S. Brown will do his classification talk next week.

Per W. Stanley, no changes to finances.

Fundraising:

• Bowlathon: March 2008; Suggested that J. Kitchen may be interested in co-chairing with J. Joseph.

• Poker: November 2007; D. Scheerer to advise on details upon his return from holidays.

• Raffle: December 2007, marketing to begin September 2007. S. Brown prepared to co-chair. Will get prize details from Dale.

Don Joseph spoke. Advised club of his experiences in aeronautical industry as well as in running wine sampling events in Colorado and Texas.

George advised that members and spouses are invited to a sail at Port Credit Yacht Club on August 2, 2007. Members should arrive between 6pm and 6:30pm. Mention that you are there for freestyle event. Please RSVP George at earliest convenience.

Our regular meeting will also be held on August 2nd as scheduled.
