Meeting Highlights - August 2, 2007

Meeting called to order at 7:00am.

Present: M. Nadler, G. Pech, J. Joseph, J. Bryce, S. Brown, A. Baksh, R. Sugimura.

Absent: J. Kitchen, W. Stanley, J. Diggle, D. Scheerer, B. Crawford.

J. Bryce summarized membership growth ideas from Rotarian. Highlights:

• ask, ask, ask prospective members to come and join us for breakfast.
• information dinner such as golf tournament where guests are invited.
• theater ads
• encourage new members to bring in new members in their first year.
• wear the pin
• promote Rotary club at all fundraisers / club events.
• recycle Rotarian.
• ask, ask, ask!!!

M. Nadler suggested inviting a prominent speaker to our last meeting in September. S. Brown will work on this.

S. Brown will advise regarding schedule for classification talks.

Treasurer's report and Fundraising report deferred to next week.

S. Brown conducted his classification talk. Highlighted his motivation for initially joining the club and relayed his professional experiences in the automotive sector, financial planning and commercial real estate.

S. Brown's number called in 50 / 50 draw. Drew a blue ball.
