Meeting called to order at 7am.

Absent: J. Diggle, J. Bryce, W. Stanley, J. Kitchen
M. Nadler provided overview of meeting with Raj Chopra. Presidents of CVAM, Meadowvale, Streetsville and Airport to meet regularly to coordinate activities. Another joint meeting of all Mississauga clubs planned for the Fall. R. Chopra to assist in getting ordering details for Paul Harris Fellowship.
Michael Metcalfe, Chief of Police for Peel Region to speak at our meeting on September 20, 2007. All members are to send out invites to at least 10 prospective Rotarians / guests. Number of guests to be confirmed the week before event.
Poker: D. Scheerer / S. Brown outlined plans. 4 preliminary events to be held at Patti's on November 2, 2007, February 1, 2008, May 2, 2008, September 5, 2008. Final event to be held November 7, 2008. Tickets will cost $75 for preliminary rounds, $100 for finals. First and second place finishers in preliminaries will get free ticket to Finals. Others may buy into finals. Assuming 64 attendees at prelimaries and 128 during finals, anticipated profit is $22,160. Patti's to charge $10 / head for dinner. Patti's will run bar and will retain profits from bar sales. Club would need to provide 8 dealers.
Raffle: D. Scheerer proposed final draw on December 15 2007 for TV with early bird draws on October 15, 2007 and November 15, 2007 for IPODS. Tickets to cost $5 each or 3 for $10. Assuming sales of $2,500 and prize budget of $1,500 anticipated profit is $1,000. Presents opportunity to promote club on ticket copy. D. Scheerer will investigate licensing requirements.
