Meeting called to order at 7am.

RI:
District 5300 seeking donations to support float at Rose Parade on January 1, 2008. Club decided not to participate this year.
Treasurer's Report:
No changes.
Fundraising:
Poker: Dale will seek feedback.
Raffle: Dale advised that permit required. Cost is 3% of prizes. Given prize budget of $1,000, permit cost is $30. Club instructed Dale to proceed with securing permit. Discussion regarding ticket costs results in agreement that cost should be $5 or 3 for $10. Dale suggested seeking community partnerships to aid in selling tickets (ie. Girl Guides, Scouts, teams).
Night of $1,000 Dinners: Discussed desired benefactor. Club agreed to support local charities. Cost to be $50 per couple. Event to be renamed. Dale suggested that we sponsor 2 dinners in the Rotary year, first to be held on November 30th.
Community Projects:
Dictionary presentation confirmed for September 27th at 11am @ Trelawny.
Breakfast Club: J. Bryce advised that Meadowvale SS requires police checks. John will pick up applications. Available dates: Mondays, Wednesday, Thursdays. John will poll club for desired dates. 1 or 2 members required each week, from 7:30 to 8:30am.
New Business:
Moved by D. Scheerer, seconded by M. Nadler, that club donate $1,000 to Eden Foodbank's Kraft Hunger challenge. Kraft to match donations to $30,000. Motion carries.
M. Nadler urged members to bring guests to next week's meeting with Michael Metcalfe. J.Bryce will approach the Mississauga News for coverage.
M. Nadler's number called in 50 / 50. Drew white ball.
